Springs adults and children now have a new place to get away and
be creative at Color My Gallery. This brand new "Art Cafe"
offers a little bit of everything for artists of all ages...
For
the young, Color My Gallery features the Art Summer Camp which includes
daily art lessons, arts and crafts, field trips to local art and
historical museums, individual art projects to be exhibited at the
"Group Show", and art appreciation.
But
the fun is not just for kids. Color My Gallery features "Art
Themed" parties for your birthday party, shower, anniversary,
or other special occassion. Join one of the group lessons and learn
the finer details on sculpting, oils, acrylics, charcoals, and pastels.
Don't
miss "Couples Night"! Every Wednesday night is couples
night. Share some creative bonding time and create your own artistic
way of saying "I love you."
Color
My Gallery is run by renowned artist Humberto Busto and his wife
Mabel Gracia, the Gallery Director. Busto has been commissioned
worldwide for his talents including a life-sized bust of Peron in
Argentina. He has also sculpted beautiful lions that reside in the
home of the Bee Gee's, Joe Robbie, Roberto Duran, Placido Domingo,
and the list continues. Closer to home, he has created a life-sized
bust of Dr. Carlos J. Finlay in the library of Carlos J. Finlay
Elementary School at the FIU Campus.
